
Basic Life Support (HCP)
This Canadian Red Cross - Basic Life Support (BLS)
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) CPR & AED (previously known as CPR-HCP) is designed for Health Care Providers such as doctors, nurses and paramedics who require CPR/AED with Health Care Provider certification. This was previously known as Level HCP.
This course provides the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies. It also includes how to perform rescue breathing. It includes using an automated external defibrillator (AED) and Bag-Valve-Masks.
Courses are suitable for those looking for training for the workplace or for their own general interest. This was previously known as CPR/AED Level HCP.
Requirements for completion:
- Skills demonstration
- 100% attendance
- Grade of 75% on written test
Upon completing the course successfully, participants will receive:
- 1 Year Certification in BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) CPR & AED
