Please note that this is a 4 hour in-class training and does NOT involve an online course. 

Prerequisite: Basic Life Support / CPR-HCP
*Previous certificate must be valid. Expired certifications are not eligible for renewal.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) CPR & AED is designed for Health Care Providers such as doctors, nurses and paramedics who require CPR/AED with Health Care Provider certification.

This is a Recertification course designed for students that have a current Basic Life Support certification from one of the following providers only: Life Saving Society, Canadian Red Cross, Heart & Stroke, Canadian Ski Patrol, or St. John's Ambulance.

This course provides the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies. It also includes how to perform rescue breathing.  It includes using an automated external defibrillator (AED) and Bag-Valve-Masks.

Courses are suitable for those looking for training for the workplace or for their own general interest.

Requirements for completion:

  • Skills demonstration
  • 100% attendance
  • Grade of 75% on written test

Upon completing the course successfully, participants will receive:

  • 1 Year Certification in BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) CPR & AED

Duration: 4 hours
