Basic Life Support (HCP) Recertification
Prerequisite for Recertification: Valid and non-expired certificate of the same title
Must be issued by an approved provider: Canadian Red Cross, Life Saving Society, Heart & Stroke, St. John's Ambulance or Canadian Ski Patrol only
Participants will receive a 1 year Canadian Red Cross certification upon completion of the Basic Life Support or Basic Life Support Recertification training

Students will be provided with the skills needed to recognize and respond to emergencies for adults, children and infants for one and two rescuers. Topics such as choking, airway and breathing emergencies as well as AED training will be covered.
Requirements for completion:
- Skills demonstration
- 100% attendance
- Grade of 75% on the written test
Upon completing the course successfully, participants will receive:
- 1 Year certification card in Basic Life Support (or Recertification)
Duration: 4 hours
