Unsure of what course to take? Here is a helpful guide based on Ontario provincial First Aid guidelines according on industry. If you are taking a course for a workplace requirement, please also check with your employer which course they recommend. 

*Please note that Toronto First Aid will not be held responsible if a participant registers for the wrong course. We can advise based on your needs, however it is ultimately the responsibility of the participant to confirm their course requirements with their school, employer or governing body.

Pharmacist

  • Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C

Daycare / Early Childhood Educator

  • Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C

Teacher

  • Emergency First Aid with CPR/AED Level C or Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C

Nanny/ Babysitter

  • Emergency Child Care First Aid with CPR/AED Level B

Police officer / RMCP

  • Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C

Personal trainer

  • CPR/AED Level A or C
  • However, we advise you include First aid in your training and take the Emergency First Aid with CPR/AED Level C as it includes bandaging and wound care.

Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

  • Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C

General public interested in personal knowledge

  • Emergency First Aid with CPR/AED Level C

Nurse

  • Basic Life Support or CPR/AED Level C (check with workplace)
  • Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C (check with workplace if you need this as well)

Dental hygienist

  • Basic Life Support (annually)

Physio Therapist

  • Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C

Office worker

  • Emergency First Aid with CPR/AED Level C (Our recommendation - please check your workplace requirements)

** Please note you can only take a recertificaiton course for Standard First Aid, CPR and Basic Life Support if you have a valid certificate (not yet expired).
