Please make sure you are providing yourself enough time to complete the online course beforehand as our standard rescheduling policy applies in the case that you need to postpone due to online course incompletion. The online course for this program takes roughly 4-8 hours to complete, however extra time may be needed to setup your account.

Toronto First Aid is proud to be a leader in offering the Standard First Aid & CPR Blended Learning Program. This course is well suited to those who have busy lifestyles as this course provides students with opportunity to learn the theoretical aspect of the training at their own pace using the Canadian Red Cross online platform. Once the online section is completed, participants then attend an in-class session to solidify their understanding and put their knowledge to practice and focus on the skills based aspects of the program. 

Once you have successfully completed the online portion you will receive an online certificate that you can print and bring with you to show the instructor that you are now ready for the in class portion of your training. 

This course covers instruction on prevention, recognition and treatment of life-threatening emergencies.  Specific focus will be on: initial assessment, preventing transmission of disease, rescue breathing, choking, major bleeding, unconsciousness, shock and secondary assessment. You will learn how to respond and treat injuries due to heat and cold, poisons, medical conditions, bone and joint injuries and head and spinal injuries. CPR-C certification is also included as part of this course.

  • Grade of 75% on the written test
