This course covers the following topics:

• Glove removal
• Primary Assessment
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Airway Obstruction
• Assisted Ventilation
• Basic Life Support special considerations

Canadian Red Cross Basic Life Support (HCP) Courses are available from Toronto First Aid Training at our various training centres across the GTA.  We serve Downtown Toronto, East Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Vaughan, Aurora, Richmond Hill, Markham, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Brampton and surrounding areas. 

Students will be provided with the skills needed to recognize and respond to emergencies for adults, children and infants for one and two rescuers.  Topics such as choking, airway and breathing emergencies as well as AED training will be covered.

Requirements for completion:

• Skills demonstration
• 100% attendance
• Grade of 75% on the written test

Upon completing the course successfully, participants will receive:

• 1 Year certification card in Basic Life Support (or Recertification) 

Toronto First Aid has a no refund policy as a lot of effort goes into planning our courses and scheduling our instructors. However, if you contact us more than 48 hours in advance we would be happy to reschedule you to another convenient day or hold a course credit for you.
